Vision

Happy designers + happy clients = great websites!

We don't design for riches or fame. We design because we love it. We love the challenging, yet creative, nature of our work. And we love the clients with whom we work. That's not just a marketing scheme, we really do love our clients. That's because we choose to work with small businesses and non-profit organizations. Being a small business, which is greatly involved with nonprofit organizations, we obtain great satisfaction knowing that our clients are making a difference in their local communities. Being able to feel good about the work we do drives us to make that work better and better.

its bigger than design

"Its bigger than design" means several things to us. It means that when we talk with you to draw up plans for a website, we have to talk about more than shadows and gradients. We have to talk about designing a site that is user-friendly. That means having a site that is accessible to a wide audience. That means developing a site that is easy for new visitors to search for and find what they need. That means designing a site that engages your visitors and entices them to bookmark your site, buy your products or services, read your news, or give you call.

"Its bigger than design" also describes our principled approach to the world. We recognize our responsibility to our community and the world at large. That is why we donate a portion of our proceeds to non-profit organizations. We also donate a certain amount of our time and services to nonprofits. We provide discounts to all small non-profits, businesses dedicated to animal welfare, and vegan-ran businesses. We also refuse to provide our services to any business or organization that we feel harms local communities. We strongly believe that what's best for communities is what's best for people and the planet.

measuring success

By now, it should come as no surprise that we don't measure success by the size of our portfolio. We measure our success by the success it produces. In other words, we measure our success by your success. That's why we don't design sites with the short-term in mind. Sure, we like to create sites that are visually appealing (what's the point of having a site no one wants to look at?). But our main concern is creating a site that will help our clients to meet their goals.

We recognize that to have happy and successful clients, we have to focus on the real client. That is, our client's clients. A beautifully designed site that doesn't meet the needs of our client's clients, is worthless. That is why we ask our clients lots of questions in the process of the site development. We don't just get a kick out of pestering our clients, we need to get an idea of who your client is and what they are looking for so that we can create an online experience tailored to meet their needs and desires.
